The Montague on the Gardens is a charming Georgian townhouse, around the corner from Russell Square, just steps from the British Museum and a short walk from Covent Garden and Shaftesbury Avenue for many of London’s best theatres. The hotel overlooks the private Montague Street Gardens, providing guests with the perfect backdrop for al-fresco dining and also home to the Bloomsbury Bees.
Russell Square tube station
The hotel is four minutes walking distance from Russell Square underground station. Leave the station and turn left out of the exit. At the traffic lights cross the street and walk diagonally across Russell Square, exit the square and cross the street and Montague Street is just ahead of you.
Travelling by car
The Montague on the Gardens offers a valet service for your car. Simply arrive at the hotel, and our concierge will be delighted to take care of parking for you. Our car parking services cost £45.00 per 24-hour period if your car remains parked for this period. Otherwise, an hourly fee will apply if you take your car out multiple times throughout the day.
Please note that Central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 12:00pm to 6pm Saturday to Sunday, and bank holidays. Additionally, The Montague is located in a ULEZ zone. Vehicles that do not meet ULEZ emissions standards and are not exempt will incur a daily charge of £12.50 to drive within the zone.
