The Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race

The 30th March marks the return of the annual Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race. First raced in 1829, this is an iconic day in the British sporting calendar. Zheng BO: Bamboo as method

This spring, Somerset House features an eco-conscious installation by artist Zheng Bo; the installation pays homage to philosopher Wang Yangming and promotes sustainable practices and respect for all life forms. Visitors can draw in the bamboo garden, guided by Zheng's voice through QR codes. The completed drawings are composted, symbolising a cycle of creativity and ecology. 

Trade winds: JJJJJerome Ellis

Trade Winds by JJJJJerome Ellis is a groundbreaking live performance taking place on the 7th March in Tate Modern's Turbine Hall. Ellis masterfully blends spoken word with saxophone, piano, hammer dulcimer, and electronics, pushing boundaries of Blackness, speech, music, and time. This immersive experience invites audiences to explore the intersection of performance, poetry, and music in a truly contemporary setting.
